The Inspiration Station

So, after having gotten completely settled into my new apartment, the time was right to focus on other secondary, though albeit still crucial, items for the apartment. I decided that with a dedicated corner for my sewing machine and leather working (a tall order in a studio apartment!) Antibellum absolutely needed an amazing bulletin board on which inspirational images and trinkets could be pinned. After scouring the internet, I stumbled across an apropo frame on eBay, found some cork, and called it a day! It speaks nicely to the vintage aesthetic of Antibellum.

Antibellum Does a Project for Singer!

As a result of winning the 2009 Independent Handbag Designer Awards, I was able to develop a pattern and instructions for the canvas tote at right. It was an exciting challenge, and I think this design is a bit more lighthearted than most of the things I do. I was able to collaborate with the wonderful team at Singer, who helped me put together these very comprehensive instructions. Enjoy!!
